This is a collection of improvised solo piano pieces I recorded in May and June of 2012. As far as composing these pieces, I often sit down at the piano and play what ever comes to mind. This means everything you hear is recorded live with one take and no editing. I am very excited about the process of improvisation and I am often surprised by the outcome. This album is comprised of a variety of expressive styles and moods. Some of the pieces are very soft and relaxing like A Shower Awaits or Cancer Cure Please. Other pieces are quick and dance-like such as Look Away From Me. I hope you enjoy and please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or comments. The picture on the album cover is our two youngest kids sitting in their chairs at our annual garage sale. I could not resist taking a photo as they were both waiting so patiently for customers. This is a secondary theme to the music, that of learning to wait patiently, something we all need to get better at.
